Origin Skin Care Products
Hello folks. Let’s talk about Origin skin care today. First off, let me say that this is my favorite company as a whole because of their commitment to being green and leading by example. Origins aims to perfect natural skincare by combining nature and science. They use organic ingredients and 100% natural oils to produce healthy alternatives to the enormous chemical-based market out there today.
Committed to the green movement, Origin skin care was started up in 1990 and became the first major cosmetic company to go green by being the first to practice animal-friendly testing and go to green packaging. To me, these facts alone show me the company’s integrity.
But let’s put these admirable traits aside and check out some of Origin’s ingredients. Their use of potent plants, herbs, and oils makes their facial creams attractive because you know you are not in danger of burning your face off. And they use the Rhodiola rose (found in Siberia of all places) as the centerpiece of their Youthtopia anti-aging campaign. This rose firms skin and helps maintain a healthy glow through the natural oils it needs to subsist up there in no-man’s land.
But the most important thing to remember is that Origin skin care does not use any of the following:
• Propylene Glycol
• Mineral Oil
• Parabens
• Phthalates (always avoid these!)
• PABA
• Petrolatum (eats at skin)
• Paraffin (prevents skin from breathing)
• DEA
• Animal Ingredients (except for beeswax)
Knowing your ingredients is the key component to identifying the skin cream best for you. And if you have sensitive skin like me, Origin skin care is definitely a skin care product that you should check out in the never-ending quest to finding the perfect moisturizer!
I have had the most success with their antioxidant moisturizer “A Perfect World”. It uses White Tea, one of the strongest antioxidants, as the active ingredient. It also has ferment of sugarcane (a catalyst to neutralizing free radicals), Murumuru butter (keeps natural moisture inside), Rose Fruit Oil (for hydration), Centella Asiatica (for firming), Vitamin C (for brightening and evening out skin tones), and adds a bit of Orange and Spearmint for aromatic purposes. Overall, A Perfect World is a high-quality all-natural product that works (especially in rainy weather)
