Anti Aging Skin Care Products – Can They Make You Look Younger?

Posted by: Ellie Graham  :  Category: Anti-Aging Products

If you are like a lot of women over 30, you are possibly starting to worry about the dreaded w-word – wrinkles. With the abundance of anti aging skin care products on the market, you have to ask yourself if there is any truth to what these products say they can do. Customer testimonials and a myriad of clinical studies have shown that yes, indeed, anti aging products can work, but ultimately you must decide for yourself. What are they purported to do, exactly?

Anti aging products come in several different formulas – creams and lotions being the most popular. In addition to revitalizing your skin and reducing the signs of aging, a lot of products purportedly stimulate the renewal of skin cells, reduce under eye circles, hydrate skin, and smooth rough texture all while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles! Revitol Complete is but one of many products that boats the ability to dramatically reduce the signs of aging, revealing a radiant, younger you! Royal Gold Anti-Wrinkle Serum in another product claiming to reduce wrinkles while leaving your skin fresh and hydrated. These are but a few of the many products available for older skin, so go ahead and look around to see what works best for you.

Once upon a time, these products were available only by prescription from a licensed dermatologist. Now, that’s obviously not the case and what was once prescription-only has now become mass-market; the reason being now they are made with all natural and safe ingredients. Typically, it can take up to 30 days for one to see results with these products. Some boast results in as little as two weeks, but in general you should wait about a month before you see any significant improvement.

Most skin care products designed for older skin have some basics in common. They all have one, or a combination of, the following ingredients. Alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, argireline, Shea butter, and Edelweiss extract. Vitamin A, primrose oil and others can also be included, designed to give your skin the youthful and radiant glow it once had. Generally, after four to six weeks of continued use, you can see a dramatic improvement in your skin, possibly looking up to ten years younger than you did before! Sounds pretty amazing, doesn’t it? Of course, results are not typical and will vary depending on the individual. The bottom line is many people have seen promising results with these products, and the potential is there for you to, as well.

Avoiding the sun, quitting smoking, moisturizing daily, exercising and eating a healthy, balanced diet are all ways to minimize the appearance of wrinkles. In combination with these methods, using an anti-wrinkle cream will surely help to combat the signs of aging, and will be more effective when used with the methods listed above. Everyone wants younger looking skin, and there’s no reason why you can’t have it!

Cellex C Skin Care Moisturizers

Posted by: Ellie Graham  :  Category: Cellex C Skin Care

There are so many moisturizers on the market today that it can be overwhelming. Which one is right for my skin? How do I choose?

Well, my answer to that is you never know until you try. It took me the better part of 15 years to find out the combination that works best for my skin. And that combination changes over time so I’m always looking for healthy new products.

About a year ago I came across a nice little moisturizer from Cellex C Skin Care called Seline-E Enhancer. It uses the natural antioxidant properties of Vitamin C (hence the name Cellex C Skin Care) while infusing Vitamin E and aloe, which deeply hydrates without having to constantly reapply. So you get a smooth healthy-looking face while also protecting yourself against the harmful environment.

With one application in the morning, your face feels soft and smooth the entire day. I use it Saturday mornings before running errands and often receive compliments from other women. They’ll ask how I manage to keep my skin so smooth without loading on the make-up. Talk about confidence boosters!

So if you’re in the market for a new moisturizer, give Cellex C Skin Care a try (The Seline-E enhancer is priced around $60). Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

What Are Our Choices For Skin Care?

Posted by: Ellie Graham  :  Category: Anti-Aging Products

Can natural anti-aging skin care products turn back or slow the progress of wrinkles, thinning or sagging skin. I don’t know about you but I would like to find out.

The next best solution to aging skin is advertised to us all the time in magazines or television ads and it’s hard to resist some of the claims. After all who does not want less lines and wrinkles or want their skin to have some of that same glow it had when we were younger.

But knowing what we know about harmful ingredients in our skin care products and animal testing we must choose our products carefully. Unfortunately many of the big name companies who promote these products still do animal testing or haven’t signed the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.

A check through the Skin Deep Database from Safe Cosmetics showed that many of the most popular anti-aging skin care products received a high hazard rating.

While there were several different ingredients that can be attributed to this the most common reason for them to receive a high rating was due to fragrance. This word on a label tells us nothing and can include ingredients companies find effective but are known to be harmful. See nontoxic skin care for more info about what ingredients to watch out for in our skin care products.

Our best solutions are safe, natural anti-aging skin care products and we are lucky to have so many choices available to us. Lets’ see if we can’t sort through some of our best options and find a skin care routine that works. One that keeps our skin looking it’s best.

Caring For Our Skin

As time passes our skin care needs change but our basic skin care routine doesn’t. We need to treat our skin well no matter what our age and we start that by knowing our skin type, dry, normal, oily plus sensitive and mature and following a skin care routine based on this knowledge.

ethnic women The Basics:

  • Daily
  • Cleanse
  • Tone
  • Moisturize
  • Protect
  • Weekly or more often
  • Exfoliate
  • Facials and Masks

Don’t you wish it were that simple. Some of the best dermatologists out there tell us it should be. We are trying so hard to fight the aging process that we are trying just about any new product which claims to work and it’s scary the extremes some of us choose. A simple easy to use and effective routine can be found by using natural anti-aging products.

Within our basic skin care routine are some natural choices we can make to slow the aging process and possibly even repair some of the damage.

Exfoliation

This is possibly one of the most important things we can do for aging skin. The older we get our skin becomes slower at creating new cells which give our skin a younger smoother look. When we exfoliate our skin we help remove the dead skin cells on the surface and encourage our skin to more rapidly create new cells for a more youthful appearance.

Natural options for face exfoliants come from lotions and scrubs to brushes, cloths or other devises designed for removing dead skin cells. Microdermabrasion is an example of this. Save some money and make you own. With just a few simple ingredients that most of us have in our own kitchens we can make simple, fresh and effective homemade exfoliants. Make exfoliation a big part of your skin care routine and for best results make sure to do this at least once a week.

Natural Anti-Aging Creams and Lotions

Once all those dead skin cells are removed our skin is ready for some moisture to keep those new cells plumped up. Creams and lotions made from natural ingredients can be an important part of any natural anti-aging skin care routine to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles and even to firm and tighten the skin.

A really amazing array of ingredients such as green tea, pomegranate, fruit enzymes, essential oils, sea weed, vitamins, minerals and more are being used in natural anti-aging skin care products.

Many women are seeing results with products that read more like a yummy recipe that uses fresh natural and even organic ingredients. All those chemicals aren’t the only answer or even the best answer to really good anti aging skin care. Know your anti aging ingredients and buy from companies that don’t do animal testing.

Facial Exercises

Exercises for facial muscles have been around for a long time. If you practice yoga you may already be familiar with some of the facial poses but there are also other exercise programs developed specifically to tighten sagging skin or smooth wrinkles.

There seems to be a big difference of opinion on their effectiveness with many claiming excellent safe results and others saying it doesn’t really work and can even help exaggerate wrinkles.

With no clear answers as to what is best, before you try facial exercises read all you can and then decide. This could be an inexpensive effective form of natural anti-aging skin care that improves the look of our skin but we need to understand the process.

Accupressure

This is a fascinating technique of applying gentle pressure to specific points on the face and holding the pressure for a matter of seconds. This technique, practiced for thousands of years in China, tones and tightens the skin. Who knows it may even be an inexpensive alternative to cosmetic surgery.

It is a safe simple process that can be completed in just minutes a day but it is important to have a good understanding of how it works. It’s not complicated but the right pressure points must be chosen for effectiveness.

Many sources from books to the web provide info to make this easily understandable and doable.

No matter what form of natural anti-aging skin care when you are informed and choose with care you you will be assured that you are choosing something natural and I mean natural as it should be not just a vague word on label but truly natural ingredients to help our skin look it’s best at what ever age.

Origin Skin Care Products

Posted by: Ellie Graham  :  Category: Anti-Aging Creams, Anti-Aging Products, Anti-Aging Treatments, Origin Skin Care

Hello folks. Let’s talk about Origin skin care today. First off, let me say that this is my favorite company as a whole because of their commitment to being green and leading by example. Origins aims to perfect natural skincare by combining nature and science. They use organic ingredients and 100% natural oils to produce healthy alternatives to the enormous chemical-based market out there today.

Committed to the green movement, Origin skin care was started up in 1990 and became the first major cosmetic company to go green by being the first to practice animal-friendly testing and go to green packaging. To me, these facts alone show me the company’s integrity.

But let’s put these admirable traits aside and check out some of Origin’s ingredients. Their use of potent plants, herbs, and oils makes their facial creams attractive because you know you are not in danger of burning your face off. And they use the Rhodiola rose (found in Siberia of all places) as the centerpiece of their Youthtopia anti-aging campaign. This rose firms skin and helps maintain a healthy glow through the natural oils it needs to subsist up there in no-man’s land.

But the most important thing to remember is that Origin skin care does not use any of the following:

• Propylene Glycol
• Mineral Oil
• Parabens
• Phthalates (always avoid these!)
• PABA
• Petrolatum (eats at skin)
• Paraffin (prevents skin from breathing)
• DEA
• Animal Ingredients (except for beeswax)

Knowing your ingredients is the key component to identifying the skin cream best for you. And if you have sensitive skin like me, Origin skin care is definitely a skin care product that you should check out in the never-ending quest to finding the perfect moisturizer!

I have had the most success with their antioxidant moisturizer “A Perfect World”. It uses White Tea, one of the strongest antioxidants, as the active ingredient. It also has ferment of sugarcane (a catalyst to neutralizing free radicals), Murumuru butter (keeps natural moisture inside), Rose Fruit Oil (for hydration), Centella Asiatica (for firming), Vitamin C (for brightening and evening out skin tones), and adds a bit of Orange and Spearmint for aromatic purposes. Overall, A Perfect World is a high-quality all-natural product that works (especially in rainy weather)
